Hi! I'm Crissy.
I am an experienced cake decorator with years of baking experience. I have been baking professionally and recreationally for most of my life, from making cookies and brownies for my nieces and nephews to birthday cakes for complete strangers when I worked in a local grocery store as a cake decorator. I don't claim to be an expert, I bake and decorate for fun and to help my daughter find delicious baked goods that she can eat without pain.
My daughter, Emma, is gluten intolerant and has issues with egg. It is very difficult to find good gluten free, let alone egg free or both, baked goods in the stores. Also, gluten free foods are expensive. So, we have started to make our own.
My vision for the blog is to share the recipes we have found on our journey. We usually use recipes from others, but tweak them for our tastes. I am hoping to include many recipes that are baked, not just cakes, cookies and sweet stuff, but breads and savory things as well. I would like to use my bread machine more too. I would also like to add some videos of us baking and maybe go on YouTube at some point. That would require me to be comfortable going on camera, and I'm not sure how well that would do.
I will most likely change up the look of the blog from time to time, gotta keep everyone on their toes and just make it more interesting and eye catching.
